Whether you love to bake every week or have never touched a bag of flour in your life this class will inspire you to bake amazing artisan bread every day at home. During this class, we will focus on the three different ways in which you can make bread rise. Throughout the day we will be using different
techniques and ingredients from our bubbling sourdough starter and fresh yeast to super quick baking soda.

What to expect:

(please note exact recipes on the day may vary)

Country Sourdough– A fantastic sourdough recipe, all mixed, proved and baked in one day using our Firehouse sourdough starter. This is the perfect introduction to sourdough bread making. We will share with you how to make a sourdough culture, how to maintain it and how to bake beautiful loaves every week

Yeasted Dough – Using fresh yeasts we will together work through two different doughs which will include recipes such as a beautiful Roasted Garlic Rosemary and sea Salt Focaccia to Honey and Oat Spelt bread.

Soda Bread – A speedy bread which traditionally uses baking soda. We modernise this classic Irish Bread and will be making the likes of Bacon, Spring Onion and Cheddar Soda Bread, to Thyme, mustard and Cheddar loaves

And to finish we will have something sweet for you in the form of a short patisserie demo.

The class includes, tea and coffee on arrival, as well as refreshments throughout the day and will conclude with a sourdough pizza lunch at our neighbours Wicklow Wolf brewery.
